Camp Activities
During the 10-day camp, cadets participated in a wide range of activities, including:
Physical Training: Each day began with early morning physical training followed by rigorous drill sessions and classes on military subjects. The evenings were marked by vibrant cultural performances and group activities that showcased the cadets creativity and team spirit. Morning PT sessions helped improve stamina and physical fitness.
Drill Practice: During the 10-day NCC CATC camp, our students underwent Drill training that included both theory and practical sessions. The training covered the importance and purpose of drill, along with foot drill, arms drill, and ceremonial drill. Cadets practiced commands, formations, saluting, and marching techniques, which helped develop discipline, coordination, and teamwork. The training enhanced cadets’ confidence, synchronization, and leadership qualities, preparing them for parades and instilling a strong sense of discipline and unity essential to NCC.
Weapon Training: Cadets received training on handling and aiming the .22 rifle and participated in a firing practice session. Cadets were given the opportunity to fire with the .22 rifle under the supervision of qualified instructors. They were taught the basic parts of the rifle, aiming techniques, firing position, and safety precautions.
Theory Classes: Lectures on NCC organization, leadership, judging distance & field signal, and map reading were held.
Cultural Activities: Cadets showcased their talents through cultural programs, group songs, and dances.
Closing Address: During the closing ceremony of CATC–112, the Camp Commandant addressed all cadets and appreciated their discipline, enthusiasm, and active participation throughout the camp. He encouraged cadets to apply the values of leadership, teamwork and national pride learned during the training in their daily lives.
Under the guidance of experienced NCC Officers and ANOs, cadets not only developed discipline and courage but also imbibed the values of cooperation, punctuality, and national pride. The camp concluded with a grand closing parade and demonstration, where the cadets displayed their newly learned skills with precision and confidence.
